Bible prophecy and the end times has always been intriguing to me. But let’s be clear, scripture clearly states that only God the Father knows when the end of the world occurs: “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father (Matthew 24:36), so let’s not jump to any conclusions here, no predictions are being claimed here.
Many have claimed they knew the day and time the ‘end’ would occur, yet here we are still living each day to the best of our abilities. Still, are we in the ‘end times’ as bible prophecy predicts?
My latest t-shirt design: ‘Remember The Flood’, is a reminder to us about what Jesus said about these ‘end time’ days.
In Matthew’s Gospel Jesus said, “For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. [The Son of Man was the way Jesus often referred to Himself. So, He’s talking about His return here at the end of the age.] For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man” (Matt. 24:37-39).
Thinking about this, is it not more important to live each day like it will be our last? None of us know when the Good Lord will call us home. The day we ‘die’ is the ‘end of the world’ for us, individually. Are we to live as we like, only concerned about our own selves, guessing the ‘end of the world’ is years away and we have time to enjoy life to our liking? Think again!
Will it benefit us more if we do live each day as if it was our last? As if we knew we were meeting Jesus face to face! And we wanted to be true to the Grace Jesus blessed us with and live in a manner that shows our Love for Him as our Lord and Savior? I think so!
As a bumper sticker I designed states:
Believing ‘In God’ means nothing
Believing ‘God’ means everything.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). We all are sinners, and there is no sin in Heaven. None of us are worthy of Heaven, for God is Truth! Yet He loves us so much, He sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ to come to earth and die a gruesome death for us. Jesus was the perfect sacrifice, unblemished, without sin. He paid the price for our sin! This ‘free’ gift of Grace is for all who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and Live for Him!
This is living in True Freedom, not being a slave to sin in our lives. What sin are you a slave too? Drugs, Porn, Sex, Food? Think about it and be true to yourself! Are you tired of being a slave to these vices in your lives? Jesus can free you from them, if you give your life to Him!
By giving your life to Him, by accepting Him as your Lord and Savior, you have no fear of the ‘end of the world’. For your name will be in the ‘Book of Life’ and you shall spend eternity in Heaven!
Revelation 20:15 declares, “If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.” The Book of Life, in this context, is the set of names of those who will live with God forever in heaven. It is the roll of those who are saved. This Book of Life is also mentioned in Revelation 3:5; 20:12; and Philippians 4:3. The same book is also called the Lamb’s Book of Life because it contains the names of those who have been redeemed by the blood of the Lord Jesus (Revelation 13:8; 21:27).
