Part II, Is This The End Times

It’s hard to imagine that I haven’t written a blog in 1.5 years. Social Media is not my cup of tea, but I manage to watch many YouTube videos to learn what’s happening in our daily lives here in America and across the globe.

Bible Prophecy is something I fully enjoy and that’s why I’m writing Part II to ‘Are We In The End Times’? No predictions are being made, and some will argue that the End Times started the day Jesus ascended to Heaven on Pentecost, but I’ll let others more versed in scripture to hash out that thought.

This past year or so I read a couple of books by one of my favorite authors, Jonathan Cahn. The books are titled: The Harbinger and The Harbinger II. Both New York Times Best Selling books! (He has other best sellers also, I highly recommend him).

These books parallel America with Old Testament Israel and how both fell out of favor with God due to not following the path God laid out for them.

Before I read the first book, The Harbinger, I felt that American was the New Testament version of God’s Chosen people, in comparison with Israel being the Old Testament version of God’s Chosen people. And we, America, are following the same footprint as Israel did. We are not depending on God to protect and bless us, we are doing it alone, without His help, thumbing our noses at Him. We are allowing sin into our culture in the name of Social Justice, just as Israel did, worshipping other gods and cultures.

We have even used terms of political correctness to soften the blow of the realities of Heaven and Hell. Many don’t use the term ‘Hell’ anymore, they say instead that you will spend eternity without God. Does that soften the blow? Does that negate what Hell will be like? The bible states Hell as: emphasizing it as a place of punishment for the wicked. Notable verses include Matthew 25:46, which states, “And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life,” and Revelation 21:8, which describes hell as a “lake that burns with fire and sulfur.”

Nobody wants to hear this! So many think being good is ‘enough’ to get you into Heaven, read the bible, it states something so different. Read Part I of this blog, ‘Are We In The End Times’ and accept Jesus into your heart! So many say God is Love, which He totally is!, but God is also Just, and no sin will enter Heaven. If you don’t know Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life, and don’t accept His free gift of salvation, then you will spend eternity without God (in Hell!). This is what the bible says!

If you have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life, and accepted His free gift of salvation and opened it, you will spend eternity in Heaven. But you must open this gift of salvation and live it! What good is a gift if you just put it on a shelf and never open it?

Matthew 7:21-23 states:
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

I want to copy some of the message from the end of the book: ‘The Harbinger II, The Return’. I want for you the reader of this blog to understand the urgency of this message, the urgency of the message of the bible and how we will each spend eternity.

From Page 279:

“”The time is late,” I said, “isn’t it?”
“It is,” said the prophet, “but not only because of these things but because of what lies beyond them. You see, our days here are numbered. They must and will ultimately come to an end. And then comes eternity. But now are the days given in which we determine eternity, which eternity that will be. These are the only days we have in which to turn, in which to come to God, in which to repent, and get right, and be redeemed, and come to salvation. Eternity is forever. But these days are not. They come but once in an eternity – and yet, by them, is eternity sealed. How awesome are these days! These,” said the prophet, “are the Days of Awe.”

“You see, we live our lives in between the trumpets and the Day of Judgment, when we will each stand before Him and eternity. And so the trumpets are sounding even now and calling out to us to say, ‘You don’t have forever. For your days on earth are numbered and ending. So whatever you would do, you must do it now. If you would ever turn to God, you must turn to Him now; if you would ever repent and come back, you must do it now; if you would ask for forgiveness, you must ask for it now; if you would ever be cleansed and made new, you must be so now; if you would ever make it right, you must make it right now; if you would ever be saved, you must be saved now; and if you would ever live the life you were created and called to live, you must live it now. For we will never pass this way again. And the time we have on earth … these are the Days of Awe.'”

As I wrote in my last blog: ‘Are We In The End Times’, we all must remember the day we die is the end of the world for us individually. We may also be here when Jesus returns to call all His followers to Him in Heaven, or we may be called by God and breathe our last, even though the world lives on. But we must accept Jesus as Lord and Savior of our lives before we die, in order to spend eternity with Him in Heaven. And if we don’t accept Jesus as Lord and Savior of our lives before we die, then we will spend eternity in Hell, this is what the bible states.

Matthew 25:31-46 states:
31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with Him, He will sit on His glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on His right and the goats on His left.
34 “Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
41 “Then He will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’
44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’
45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’
46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

The time is getting later everyday, are you ready for eternity?
