“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.”
1 Chronicles 16:34.
How many of us can find time in our busy schedules to take a minute and tell God: “Thanks!”………..? We have so much to do, not much time to do it, yet we manage to the best of our ability to get the things we need to get done, everyday, even as we fall into bed at night exhausted. It seems at times God gets pushed to the bottom of our busy schedules and many days we never get a chance to spend a minute with God. Sorry God, had too busy of a day to say ‘Thanks‘.
When we do manage to pray to God, do we manage to give him ‘Thanks?” Or are we in a time of need for something? God is always there to hear our prayers! He promises us that He hears us and will answer our prayers the way He sees best for us, even if it’s not the answer we want. So we ask, and ask. We ask for help with a problem we are having. We ask for healing for a friend suffering. We ask for money to pay our bills. We ask rain to feed our crops, etc, etc.
I started this blog with a verse in the bible about giving God ‘Thanks’! When we find time to pray, how many of us ‘give Him Thanks’ for all He has done for us? When we do something nice for a friend or family member, it is always nice to hear them say ‘Thanks’. I think God would love for us to tell Him ‘Thanks’ for all He does for us also! So the next time you spend time with God, just tell Him: Thanks!
